I'm a lawyer, writer and environmental science nerd.
I currently work as an in-house lawyer at a cybersecurity tech company. Before entering tech I spent almost a decade in the energy industry, and a short time as a Law Fellow at the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL). After the Deepwater Horizon accident, I managed Natural Resource Damage Assessment investigations and the $1 billion early environmental restoration program at BP.
I've written articles for print and publication appearing in TechCrunch, Bloomberg Law, LegalTech News, Above the Law, SCCE Magazine, Ethikos and the Suffolk University Law Review. I've commented on pieces on cybersecurity and women in technology in The Wall Street Journal and Politico. Arianna Huffington selected my 2021 essay on burnout to be featured on Thrive Global's community. I co-wrote Chapter 26 on Sustainable Development published in The Oxford Handbook of International Environmental Law (1st ed., 2008). I'm currently working on a fiction project.
I was a Board Member and Vice Chair of Women in Security and Privacy and am currently a Board Member of the Information Security Leadership Foundation. I'm also an Associate Member of International Thriller Writers.
When I'm not working, I'm usually reading, writing or birding.
