I'm a lawyer, privacy and security practitioner and environmental science nerd.
I led Security and Compliance at Everlaw, a Series C startup backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Menlo Ventures, K9 Ventures, and CapitalG, Alphabet's Growth Equity Investment Fund.
Prior to Everlaw, I spent almost a decade in the energy industry in Houston, Texas and a shorter time as a Law Fellow at the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) in Washington, D.C. After the Deepwater Horizon accident, I managed Natural Resource Damage Assessment investigations and the $1 billion early environmental restoration program.
I've written articles for print and publication on security, privacy and legal technology for TechCrunch, Bloomberg Law, LegalTech News, and Above the Law, and on compliance topics for SCCE Magazine and Ethikos. I've commented on pieces on cybersecurity and women in technology in The Wall Street Journal and Politico.
I co-wrote the chapter on Sustainable Development in The Oxford Handbook of International Environmental Law.
When I'm not working, I'm usually reading, writing or birding.
